Hosack Run Loop is a 5.2 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Franklin Twp, Pennsylvania. The trail is rated as difficult and primarily used for hiking and trail running.
A nice hike with numerous campsites, an Appalachian Trail shelter, and stream. The lead up to the loop is a forestry road, so next time I'll begin at the loop, branching off to explore the AT on an out-and-back to add some distance.
Very nice day! Met Jim good man takes care of the trail very well.
A great day-hike with some amazing wandering through forests of rhododendron. Can't wait to hike this in May/June when the flowers are in bloom. Definitely start on the Locust Gap Trail heading northeast (up the mountain) and end on the AT heading south. The footing on the Hosack Run Trail is difficult in some parts and much easier heading up than coming down. A great hike!
not as easy on a hungover Sunday as Carol would lead you to believe but overall a great 5-7 mile trek.
