In all fairness, I only hiked the first 15 miles of this trail, which is actually over 100 miles in length. It was rated as difficult, but the most difficult part of the trail was trying to walk on very narrow roads with cars whizzing by and trying to follow very poorly marked yellow markers that were especially poor in the direct vicinity of human habitation. Expect to be accidentally walking across people front and back yards unless you have a much better map than the AllTrails map. Following the trail with both markers and map combined was difficult. A note of caution, the only shoes that it is possible to wear is boots. There were muddy parts that lasted about a quarter mile and one small stream you had to just straight up walk across. Luckily I did have boots, and make sure you do too if you hike this trail. I got a tick even with heavy duty bug spray, but then again, that is part of the risk of walking around in the middle of the woods. I guess my bottom line is that the part of the trail I hiked amounted for a good day of exercise but fell below my expectations for an A+ trail.

It's more like 140 miles. Hike this in 2017. Well worth it. Hike on, my friends!
