No views on this segment in particular, but is nicely steep for the exercise. Could also continue down and up to Hogback Mountain which has a decent opening in the trees close to the top to offer a view to the south east. Trail is pretty rocky along the steep portions too. Blazing is good.

The trail starts behind the tower with a yellow marker. Follow the yellow markers. There is a v in the trail if you go right you on a decline. On the left is a blue trail. It is slippery down if you make a right so use walking sticks and be cautious on rock scrambles. This trail needs some upkeep there are a lot of down trees and sticks on it.

You must follow the yellow markings and it is definitely over 1.1 miles. It is not cleared and very steep down and then when you turn around very steep up hill. Should be considered hard.

This trail is poorly marked and there were a few areas I had to guess my direction and had to backtrack. It's definitely not a boring walk. Lots of rocks and turns but it's kind of odd that it ends part way down the ridge. Great trail for getting in shape. There are some blueberries to be picked at a clearing when you cross the Tuscarora trail
