Not impressed - the main outer loop trail is literally walking along a road without any impressive scenery. The side trails like babbling brook aren’t well labeled and pretty dinky. The entry gardens are half decent. Went up to the reservoir to look through the fencing and it was just a reservoir with a path around it, nothing more.

Outer loop of reservoir on protected piece of road for walkers and bikes. Paved. Well maintained. Minor rolling elevation gains. Inner loop of the reservoir is closed to public access.

Pretty confusing. We ended up walking the road path most of the way.

Great trail and paths including around road with marked off section on road for bikers and one for walkers. !!! NOTE :Part of trail on map does go AROUND Reservoir which Is a part of Pgh drinking water supply!!! SO appropriately and understandably ...NO dogs are allowed around that section of the reservoir!!! There is also a men’s and women’s bathroom that is heated in the fall and all winter up on reservoir walkway. If you have your doggie with you just skip the reservoir part of the loop that goes up on the reservoir!! Do the road 2x instead! It make total trail distance 1/2 miles longer . NOTE : And now there are cameras around the ENTIRE reservoir walking area ,that can see every inch of the reservoirs walkway to protect us and our water source! I have been told by the installers that they are very effective at night as well !!! Awesome !!!!

Great trail, no markings of any kind but the map keeps you on it if you zoom in. The parts that were wooded trails the city seems to monitor and keep clear of debris. Today they were putting sandbags to divert the overflow of water running down the steps leading to the small bridge. Still a lovely path and lots of shade from the summer heat.

Threatening signs around the reservoir that say “no dogs on reservoir trail, violators face imprisonment or fine” so I did not feel relaxed or welcome with my dog. Also the reservoir just looks like a swimming pool, not a natural lake

Great place to run or ride your bike around the loop. There are great trails off of the loop as well!

So relaxing and the waterfall over the little bridge is beautiful. Very easy and short trail but so worth it.
