Beautiful. Just rained the night before so streams and water running fast. Made the otherwise rocky trails softer. Had one mishap. Was crossing over a log and walking stick hit a Yellowjacket nest, attacking and stinging boyfriend multiple times. Otherwise, a great hike.

I used to come to this place all the time just to sit on one of the rocks overviewing the park... but this is the first time I hiked and it was definitely worth it! My boyfriend and I hiked down the steep hill down to the river and back up! A good workout for someone like me who is out of shape and looking for something on the easier side to do!

Echoing other reviews - poorly marked trails can become disorienting, but this app’s map was very helpful for sorting it out after getting turned around. No stunning views, but lots of interesting forest.

Lots of different trails to link up to and nice views down the ravine. An be really slick after a rain due to all the tree roots but an enjoyable hike.

Nice hike through higher trail, through campgrounds, and then looping back on lower trail overlooking the creek. Lots of narrow rocky trails uphill and down. Hiked with 7 month old puppy and he did great!

Poor trail markings; this route on AllTrails takes you off designated trails after passing through a campground. My advice, try to stay on marked trails. Otherwise it’s not a terrible area, roots and rocks along many trails which makes it a hike. I cannot say I would go out of my way to come here. It appears it might get extremely crowded on the weekend.

Enjoyed my day. Trails are not well-marked at all. I saw very few blazes on the yellow part of the trail, and no red-white blazes on the part of the lower trail that I hiked. Lots of roots. Definitely would have been off-trail more than I was if I hadn't used the AllTrails GPS. You can't really get completely lost since you are between the creek and a road. High Rocks might be a good spot for a sunset view.

This is a lookout a short walk down from the parking lot, which is incredibly tiny. It says not to park on the street but people did ($10 ticket) & the Ralph Stover trailhead was impossible to find (for us) & our phones did not have service so I don’t know how people followed the trail online. Would say skip it

This is a nice trail! Good variation - cliff overlooks to river trails. Would be best in fall to see the leaves change.

Beautiful trail. Got started late due to miscommunication. Should have used this app to better understand. First parking lot was small and packed. Eventually found the larger parking lot. Only did partial loop and turned around. Beautiful views with ways around fencing. Be careful for those that are novices are with small kids.

I don’t know if I would call this “easy” only because the trail was not clearly marked! But still had a lovely time regardless, and this app was super helpful with navigation of the trail.

Great easy trail with nice views from above of the river. We went on a Tuesday so it was very empty. No super steep inclines or declines but still would recommend appropriate shoes since it sometimes was rocky and there were a lot of big roots. At one point of the trail, you have access to the river which was very peaceful. We ended up having a snack while there. My leashed Siberian husky loved it! Heard lots of birds, saw lots of chipmunks, a frog, and even a deer.

Loved this trail so much. It was a bit muddy from rain but it didn’t stop us! I am definitely planning on going back.

A rewarding hike with beautiful views. Yes, you’ll see other hikers, but I think it’s wrong to call this a “high traffic” trail (as I’ve seen it described by others here). Today is a holiday and the first really nice spring day in weeks, yet we passed no more than a half dozen other people on the trail. I’m 50 and my son is 10. Took us about 2 hours to do the 4 mile loop, and that includes stopping to eat lunch at one of the beautiful vistas overlooking Tohickon Creek. Recommend starting in Tohickon Valley Park and making your way to the High Ricks Vista. It puts the big reward right at the midway point of your hike.

Great trail, a little on the high traffic side even with corona going on. Some elevation gain but it’s gradual. Beautiful views throughout especially if you don’t mind the metal fence towards the beginning of the hike that prevents falling off!

Wide trail and easy hike. Views a little disappointing especially with many being fenced off. The wide creek at the bottom of the ridge makes up for the lack of breath taking peaks though.

This is the only review you need for this park... If anyone complains about it being rocky or muddy then you should delete this app and grow a pair. That’s what you should expect from hiking. This is a great trail, LOTS of nice views, super hilly, and a good workout. The only thing I didn’t like about the park is that most of the nice views are blocked off by a metal fence (you can go around most of them), Don’t understand this, if people fall off it’s their own fault. Also, make sure you park in the parking lot. They give people tickets if they are not. Don’t listen to dumb old hags on this app.
