Great views! Very easy trail

Good trail and easy to access. We went on one of the first warm weekends of the year and the parking lot was packed. Be ready to have lots of company on the trails. It was heavily used by mountain bikers and people with pups. (We had our two pups leashed and all but one dog we passed was also leashed.) We also had our two year old with us and she was able to hike with us (with assistance of course.)

There are several trails and you can loose your way pretty easily. But if you follow the river you will find your way back eventually. Very pretty. A lot of foot/bike traffic.

Wear hiking shoes, it’s rocky in many places. Beautiful lookouts over the river in the first 10 minutes of the hike. Staying left on the trail and taking it clockwise will take you along the high portion of the trail first and on the way back, following the loop, takes you lower along the river.

Beautiful trail! Definitely would say this was moderate NOT easy. A large portion of the trail is unmarked and very rocky with lots of tree roots, etc. I stupidly started at the end of the trail and worked my way to the beginning. A large portion of it was uphill and there was parts that were a little strenuous. My dog had a blast but I wouldn’t recommend bringing small children unless your only looking at the overlook. If I brought my kid, they’d be complaining that their legs hurt the whole time.

Definitely a nice walk through the woods along a nice overlook. The trail is definitely easy. It is clearly marked and the path is clear of rocks. I went with a 7 year old and a couple other people who are NOT hikers and they did just fine! This is a family friendly trail and has some spectacular views. I will definitely be visiting here again.

Great trail with great views.
But, a bit more challenging than the Easy rating it has here with a decent amount of elevation changes, rocks and roots.
Would be 5 stars if the trail wasn't so poorly marked. A ranger with a can of spray paint could make this a great hike!

This place is awesome! Views over the rocks most of the hike with a few minutes of beautiful forest that leads to Tohickon Creek, a perfect lunch spot. Pick a flat rock and listen to the trickle of the water. Then, went back up the same trail because of the views were so pretty. Parked in the smaller parking lot with the port-a-potty which was right next to the trailhead. It's truly picturesque park that's not to far out of the Philly area. If your close, go!

Nice 6 mile out and back from the Ralph Stover State Park parking area. We went a bit further than the mapped trail and found a fun creek access area about 3 miles into the hike. I recommend parking at the Tory Rd parking area (150 Tory Rd, Pipersville, PA 18947) and accessing High Rocks from there. You are missing nothing by cutting off the walk in along the road from the State Park Road trail head. If you choose to stay with the original trailhead, the trail access off of the paved road is about .5 miles or so up the road and is not marked. Look for the road spur sign and you/ll see the trail. The trail begins with a few yellow blazes, but that doesn't last beyond the first quarter mile, so be sure you have a map handy. That being said, the trails were fairly easy to follow.

Most of this trail is along the wooded path up top and has a couple drop in locations that allows access to the creek. The area is overgrown with poison ivy, so plan ahead and keep kids close. We had no problems with ticks. The views are outstanding and the creek isn't bad. You can make this hike as long as you want if you keep moving down the trail along the creek line. However, the further you go, the more overgrown the trail becomes. We were certainly by ourselves 3 miles into the trail. Most people turned around by mile 2. This is a scenic area that I found to be worth the drive. It isn't difficult by any means. Enjoy!

Took on High Rocks during a rappelling trip. Wonderful views and a very easy stroll through the woods. The area is heavily wooded, so you'll have lots of tree canopy coverage to protect you from the sun. I recommend adding Tohickon Creek to this trail so you can play down by the water.

Love this area- extremely beautiful and the varied topography make this a good area to prepare for backpacking at higher elevations around the east coast (helped me prepare for hiking trips to the Adirondacks, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine). Good spot to test your gear or read a book by the creek. Lots of people use t for rock climbing

We really loved the views and easily marked trails. Venturing off the beaten path was fun as well to access some of the best spots.

Great hike on a beautiful fall day.
Can be turned into something for everyone. Great views from the overlook points along the top edge trail.

We decided to hike down to the river using rocks/boulders as a guide and for foot support. It was a challenging adventure but doable if patient and adventurous. Took about 20 minutes down.

The kids want to go back again.

WOW so grateful for the experience of hiking such a beautiful place! highly recommended and i will add to a regular spot... I will def take my 12,11, 9 and 3 yr experienced hikers to another place however, i am uncomfortable with their safety there and going during a peak time of year we were pleased with the amount of other hikers on the trail.
