It’s a nice path with great views a few miles in. It is quite jaggedy with loose rocks and roots - so watch your footing. Some parts far into the trail are overgrown for a little bit. There are some great views from the cliffs and also down by the river. However the summer full trees probably block some spectacular views. There are many side paths to go off and explore. Lots of chipmunks sprinting around, which were cute. I recommend this trail.

Car camped at one of the park’s campsites, right off the trail. The trail itself is a nice scenic loop through the forest with views from the cliffs. Pretty easy hike with a few sections of steep elevation.

Overall a nice Sunday at Tohickon. Not too crowded. This trail is very rocky so you need to have the correct footwear. No rock climbs but there are some rocky climbs and descents. Saw a lot of chipmunks which was cool. Have a great one folks.

Hiking shoes recommended. Great variety of trails from flat to rocky. Lots of shade. Easy to get down to the river and sit down on rocks for a lunch break. I would recommend starting at the campground and having the High Rocks as the midway point, taking the lower river trail on the way back.

Beautiful hike! Lots of different kinds of terrain but definitely need to be able to scramble over a few rocks. Lots of clear side trails too. A little busy when we were there but easy to social distance in many spots.

A lot of shade, good view once you get to the cliffs. Pretty muddy.

Very nice going in from the Red/White trail and then coming back on the Yellow. I’m glad the weather held out, we got rained out yesterday. All around it was a dang good hike. The views were great. Would love to come back in the wintertime to see how it looks without all the leaves

This was a nice trail, although the views were slightly disappointing. Like other reviews say, the overlooks were fenced off. I went on a Sunday morning and I would say it was heavily trafficked. A huge complaint for me is that 75% of the ppl we passed were not wearing masks or keeping distance. Other than that, the trail was a mix of flat and overgrown to narrow and rocky. There was a parking lot at the beginning of the trail where it actually started but it was jammed packed so we parked at the playground parking lot which led us into the middle of the trail. I definitely recommend hiking boots for this trail bc there were many roots, rocks, and downed tree. It was tiring but my 10yo and 6yo sisters made it through just fine. Most of the trail was in shade which was nice.

Did this trail with my son and daughter today, not too many people which was nice. Most of the great views were obstructed by tree and shrub growth, would like to come back in the fall or spring sometime. Also the trails we did were not near the creek, next time I’m taking the lower trail for some creek views. We did see a few repellers going down the high rocks. Overall, a very nice 2 hr hike

Today was our first time here and it was a great day! We enjoyed the trails and the overlooks. Easy enough for two adults, three Pre-teen/teen boys and a pup. I would recommend downloading the trail map if you are able as there are lots of off shoots and trails that meet back together. All in all we’ve decided we’ll be back for sure and plan to pack towels and swim a bit!

The trail was fairly crowded today but we still managed to find a beautiful lookout spot to have lunch.

Awesome hike with some great views. We went a little off route purposely (along the riverbank), but definitely doable.

Absolutely wonderful hike! There are multiple trail options and most meet down at the river. We found a shady spot to hang our hammocks and have some pb&j. If it was mid to late summer we would have taken a swim in the river. Highly recommend this trail.

Such a great hike. Not too crowded but enough people for you to feel like you’re not lost lol. There is little trails that separate off from each other but nothing majorly far apart that’ll get you lost

Cool trail with nice views. A good amount of up and down which may be more straining for older folks.
