Directions from Nazareth, PA: Take Jacobsburg Road (SR 1001) north approximately 3 miles to the state park. When the road forks, bear right and travel to the amphitheater parking lot on the right. The trail begins in the southeast area of the lot.

Had a great time at Henry’s woods trail. We parked at the parking lot right off Belfast Rd. Plenty of parking. Walked over bridge bathrooms are right on the left hand side. Trails are well groomed and wide. This trail has some incline but not steep. Threes access to the Bushkill creek along the first part of the trail and there is a over look section to. Great day nice and cool mostly all shade.

Nice trail. Busy! Went on a weekday in the morning and left by noon. First half the trail is wide with multiple access points to the river, which was great with kids on a hot day. Second half of the trail is much more narrow (foot traffic only-no bikes or strollers) and has some ups and downs, but a lot of fun. Hiked with four kids ages 5-11 and they loved it.

I’ve enjoyed this quick loop for years. Using the AllTrails map, the first half is well maintained and wide. The second half is rugged, narrow and can be slick... particularly after a rain or in the winter with ice. Weekends are busy.

Great trail! Beautiful view of the river, only problem is the ending of the trail going toward the parking lot where the environmental center is, is extremely narrow and for little ones it can be Very Scary, also you can’t bring a stroller because at one point there will be a staircase midway through, the trail at one point gets so thin that it feels like you’ll fall to your doom and when someone has to pass it gets extremely dangerous!

A nice, easy and enjoyable hike with the kids- enough elevation to make it fun without being too challenging. The kids always love cooling off and rock throwing in the creek, too.

This trail was a nice hike with wife and kids. People and dogs took a dip in Bushkill Creak. Next trip we will bring water shoes. Top portion of loop is fairly elevated and narrow and adds some challenge to hike. Bottom portion along the river is nice as out and back for easy walk.

Very peaceful and well kept trail. In some places you can hear route 33, but if you can tune it out it is very calming. Saw chipmunks, squirrels and large fish.

Great trail that has a smaller “challenging” section along the Bushkill Creek. If you have young children it my be a smaller challenge for them but other than that a great short trail!

Easy hike. Top part of the trail was a little muddy. I was the only person on the trail.

Took the doggos. It was a little much for my 12 1/2 yr old GSD. My 3yr old mix had no problems. There are some good short elevation changes but most of it is gradual. I will do this again.

My go-to for a quick hike after work. The steeper terrain on the south side can get a little slippery, but it's not too difficult to traverse as the trail is quite well-travelled. There are several access points to the Bushkill Creek on north side, very popular among families in the summer. Can get crowded during the day, popular for school field trips.

Beautiful trail, some up and down on the back half, not too difficult, park map says 1.9 mi.

This is a nice, short hike that has one little somewhat rough stretch along the southern bank. It shouldn't be a problem for most hikers but some people might not care for that section. Otherwise it is wide, smooth, and shady throughout.

This is a collection of trails centered around the Bushkill Creek in Jacobsburg State Park. It's perfect for walking dogs and is pretty easy terrain. Also includes the Henry Homestead and the Longrifle Museum. Great way to spend a couple hours outside on a crisp fall day! The best way to get there is to set your GPS to "835 Jacobsburg Road, Wind Gap, PA" and then park in the lot that you pass on the left when you're still on Belfast Rd.
