Challenging hike but beautiful along the way. I would put it on the harder side of “moderate” trails due to incline. Very well marked & heavily traveled. Encountered quite a few people. Easy for the dog to navigate.

Very nice trail! Well maintained. Even the gentle path up is steep but has great rocks laid. Beautiful view from the top. Paused the recording during a break and forgot to turn back on.

while a short distance its definitely challenging esp if you have old knee injuries. its worth it for the view at the end though.

Definitely take the path to the left if doing the lope. Some loose footing on the way up to beautiful vistas of the Susquehanna River and Shermans Creek.

As others have said, take the left at the first split and do the steep part first or stay straight and turn around at the top. Coming down the steep part is treacherous. Some beautiful views for being near a large city.

Great hike with a great view. The incline is pretty steep, but the kids and dog managed.

Rocky trail, but a great hike! The incline can be steep, but the view at the end is worth it.

Break taking view at the end of a breathtaking hike!!! Simply amazing!! Personal preference hike do the streaky incline first and come down the front steep side on your return... the trailer is easier to see and follow amongst the rocks. Loved the hike!

Love this place. It's a steep climb on the front and a beautiful view at the top. Trail is well taken care of with natural stone steps at most spots. It runs in with the Appalachian Trail which allows you to talk with hikers from across the Country. I ran into a couple from New Mexico.

Nice view, there’s a second view if you continue towards the river following Hawk Rock loop trail.

This was a great 1.5 hr trail and great for all fitness levels. as is said in almost every review, the views are very rewarding! it rained heavy for the day and a half prior but the high wind dried everything nicely. I can imagine the rocks may be treacherous if wet.

gorgeous trail, just the right mix of hard and relaxing. definitely a good leg workout. it was a bit rocky in some areas, so i don’t really recommend it for people with knee issues. the view was totally worth it!!

A little more difficult when there's snow. Definitely doable, especially with poles and good shoes (or microspikes!) A great time!

we did this one today for xmas. with our 15mo old. certain trails are very rocky. its all beautiful. steepish terrain. ♡ wouldn't recommend bringing a young child better for older ones.
