The trail was really nice. We startrd out on Hartman trail up to the water tower. We then continued up the hill. The hill was pretty steep, but the path was flat and clear of rocks. I think pretty much anyone could get up the hill as long as they take their time. My husband has a heart condition and he made it pretty easily with frequent stops. At the top of Hartman trail is a really nice view of the lake and valley. We continued up till we hit Mattern trail. This was at the top of the hill. I was a little disappointed in that the view was obstructed by trees. We then started down on the Mattern trail. On the way down there was a lot of leaf litter on the ground (we were hiking in the fall). Hiking poles might be helpful, we found a stick. The trail then came out and followed the lake back to the main road. There were some really nice views of the lake. This is a really nice trail with even ground and paths.

The trail markings were very confusing. The trails are all interwoven with each other so it can get complicated. We started at Limestone trail, ended up going up Quarry, then Hartman and finished with Hartman. The trail was pretty steep, had a lot of wooden steps, and some parts of the trail are uneven/slanted. The view was pretty good especially at the top. All in all the trail wasn't too bad and is a good hike/workout!
