The blazing/signage is not the greatest. We followed the red blaze and ended up have to walk almost 2 miles on the side of the road to get back to our car! The tower and nature center are also currently closed due to COVID-19.

All the trails throughout this park are in good shape and have clear signs at all the intersecting points. Great views from the tower and definitely worth it for the neat climb up/down the ladders. Most trails on this highlighted route are all simple wide gravel paths. The only exception would be trail #12 which is more thin/rocky path with some boulders mixed in (very similar to trail #15).

A bit rocky in parts but we are in Pennsylvania. Overall a nice hike.

First to Review

We shortened this trail down to a 2.1 mile hike for my small kiddos who came along. The first .75 mile is a tad steep but very doable for kids. This area is drop dead gorgeous! The tower is an absolute must-do. Be aware, it is a tight straight up climb but again, my children of 8 and 11 made the climb up and down twice because they thought it was fun. The view from the top of the tower is amazing!
