Although the Glen Onoko trail which leads directly to the waterfall and follows the water is closed, an alternative and longer route is available. This route was difficult with an elevation gain. There is a shortcut trail to the falls also which takes a lot of the elevation gain (and fun) out of the hike but is scenic and an option if you wanted to ascend or descend an alternate way. The view of the falls is from the top so a face on view is obscured when taking the alternate trails but still worth the views of the valley and the technical difficulty of the hike. There is a map at the start of the closed and alternate trails that shows both routes.

this was my first waterfall hike and the one that started my journey to hike as many falls as I could on the east coast. The hike is a series of 6 or 7 waterfalls and it's well worth it! Checkout Rickets Glenn which is even more gorgeous! Rickets has 19 waterfalls in total.

This is by far my favorite place in PA. I hiked it the last day it was open. Beautiful.

Great trail. Sux that carless people had to ruin it for everyone else. Saw too many people with flip flops and inadequate hiking apparel everytime i hiked it. it was just a matter of time till it got closed. Sad.

This trail was challenging but worth it. Really stinks that they closed it. Two years ago I brought my church youth group here and they did great - 40 people, mostly teens, completed this without any injuries. I hope they will reopen again in the future.

Sad that this is closed to us. One of the best around. So many people do not use their heads and the rest suffer for it. We see it all over at our great national parks too every year. Use common sense people so we can enjoy the beauty before us!

A shame. I liked to complete Glenn Onoko solo once every few months. Indefinitely closed to the public as of May 1, 2019.

One of my favourite trails in Pennsylvania. It is definitely a difficult hike and requires proper footwear, and change of water shoes for splashing in the summer is fine. Bring snacks and water. The trail is set to be closed May 1, 2019

This is a short, rocky trail with nice views, waterfalls, and some light scrambling. The trail is marked with red blazes going up (along the waterfalls) and blue blazes going down (up and around through the woods) Wear proper shoes with good grip as the trail is full of loose rocks and can be slippery at some points. We completed the entire loop in less than two hours with multiple breaks but keep in mind, it could take much longer during peak times on the weekend.

Love it here! Short but a very effective climb burning tons of calories. Definitely watch your step. Not for beginners.

Beautiful views! The falls are gushing and some of the rocks on the trail are covered in ice, so be very careful. The trail markers are sometimes difficult to locate.

So lovely in the winter! Because there’s so much water on the falls trail, some parts are a bit icy. Wear good boots and tread carefully!

Fantastic winter hike. Lots of icicles making the falls even more beautiful than you can imagine.

I had a great time! The rocks were a little slippery, maybe because of the moisture in the air from the waterfalls. It is an absolutely beautiful hike with some technical parts mainly at the beginning. It is perfect for someone who wants a little bit of a challenge with rewarding views.
