Got on the trail around 11, wasn't too busy because the weather was overcast and high chance of rain but then around 1 the trail was pretty busy. I definitely did the Falls trail instead of the Bulldozer trail on accident.

Beautiful trail! The waterfalls are incredible! Lots of stairs and fall risks, but also a great place to explore on a hot day. I would have given it more stars, but even on a weekday morning it was very busy!! Some were very considerate of social distancing, others not so much.

A beautiful trail, very scenic, and I would highly recommend. The trail was a bit more crowded than I'm use to but I guess it is to be expected. Bring water, a good pair of hiking shoes, and know your limits. There are a lot of rock steps so make sure you are in fair/good shape. The trails are well up kept but there was a few slick spots due to it raining the previous day and it being rocky. There are benches and rest areas throughout.

Awesome trail, beautiful views and you get quite a workout. Recommend going in early am hours. We arrived around 11 and it was way too packed to enjoy any one particular site, each one had groups of people there. Had to mask most of the hike due to foot traffic volume and passing so many people in such tight spaces.

This was my favorite trail by far. So many waterfalls, it was rocky, stairs up and down so it was a great workout. I started falla trail by the parking lot 2. I really don’t know if we did the trail the right way because we were in There for 6 hours. We did take a few breaks so the kids can play with the water. When you see the sign that says moderate up advance lower think twice because that just takes you into a big loop and right back to the same sign. When you get to Murray Reynolds you should turn back to where you see the fork and make that right to see the rest of the falls Erie to Mohawk.

Very pretty and fun trail. Probably the most crowded trail I've taken, it can get crowded even in early morning (we started before 8am). Some parts of the trail are steep and narrow, especially the Glen Leigh side, there are parts that only allow one way traffic. There's no social distancing at all...only maybe < 5% people carry a mask.

Did this hike last summer! Beautiful trail with numerous waterfalls, definitely a workout to see all of them. I had parked at the beach parking lot and hiked the loop clockwise taking Highland trail to Falls trail and starting with Onondaga Falls. After the last waterfall the trail flattens out and is a relaxing walk back out! Ended back at the beach and was able to enjoy a swim to cool off after the long hike! The trail was very crowded the day I went. Still well worth it! The rocks along the trails are wet and get slippery from the falls and you climbing on them in many parts so appropriate footwear with some grip is a must! I will be back!

Great trail with great directions but was heavily trafficked. It was muddy so wear comfortable footwear.

This is a great trail! My husband and I hiked it with our two young daughters (age 9 and 3) and probably wouldn’t take kids again in the future. There are a lot of dangerous areas where they could easily fall or slip. Hiking shoes are essential for this trail, but it’s gorgeous and moderate in difficulty. It took us about 3 hours to finish, we stopped to have a snack and to take in each waterfall in its entirety. I would hike this again in a heartbeat.

Fantastic hiking. Get your cameras ready. Bring a small backpack to keep your hands free...you’ll need them in spots...with Off repellent, a small snack and some water with you. Hiking boots are necessary!!! You will be walking on wet rock steps most of the way, however if you stick to the side closest to the gorge walls and walk sideways down, if you need to, you’ll be fine. I recommend parking at Beach Lot #2 and taking the Falls Trail from there. Walk down the Onondaga Falls side first and make Mohawk your last fall on the way to the Highland trail back to the parking lot. Confident kids and/or kids that take direction well CAN do this hike. Don’t be afraid to scramble into the middle of the streams and off the path a little bit but be EXTREMELY AWARE of where the drop off is before doing so. You need only to be on the better side of OUT of shape and you will be fine. If you’re not, but have the will power, absolutely go for it and soak in all the glory when you complete it, it’s quite a feat!

This is a great trail. Stunning views. It’s rated as moderate but I think it was leaning a little towards easy. The only problem that I experienced was the overcrowding and the trash that people have discarded. Regardless, this trail is worth it if you want to get a quick hike in.

Amazing hike.. must wear good hiking shoes.. rocks can be slippery if wet. Watch your footing when taking pictures..Can be strenuous due to the amount of stairs so take your time. Went on a weekday during lockdown, recommend arriving before 9am..otherwise you will be on trail with a lot of people. Bring a snack and lots of water. Restrooms were closed and trash receptacles sealed. The waterfalls were amazing..each one so different..Expect to be on trail from 2-3 hours

Went again but after the rain so naturally it was muddier than usual. PACKED with people because of the weekend and with the quarantine- which I get but these were city folk who trashed the park- people who don’t typically hike, wearing sandals, throwing wrappers of what they ate as they went. Looking forward to going again, after the shutdown, after everything goes back to normal- to hike with those that appreciate the outdoors.

Closed unless you have at least crampons. Ranger at Ganoga falls will evict you and issue citations. However, get the right gear and go now. Absolutely beautiful with ice formations. Most trails are completely clear but a few immediately on the falls are dangerously slippery.

We started down Gangola Trail to Waters Meet and then up Glen Leigh to Highland Trail and it was the perfect direction. some steep spots but definitely the best route to go
