There are two different ways to go. One is a fire road with a gate that takes you to a stream. The other way is just a walking trail that dead ends with no real view, it is also overgrown in some spots. We had a nice walk both ways. You can get over the stream but you might get wet. We have waterprood footwear.

Bear encounter! Not a trail for beginners or young kids. We went in a group of six people; 3 men, 3 women. Medium size bear approach 2 of us on our way back from the trail while we were take a break to go #1. The bear was very near us, about 50 ft, looking straight at us. we walked away very quickly and thankfully the bear did not chase after us. I recommend bringing something to defend yourself if you decide to take this trail. You never know!

You have cross a fairly large brook several times. I wouldn’t go after a fairly heavy rain. The trail is poorly marked once you get by the old speakeasy.

I love this quiet hike, especially when it’s warm since you will get wet, crossing the creek multiple times. Folks complaining about the hike and creek crossing lack adventure. Trail isn’t marked but it is a defined trail. I love going up there with the dogs and hanging the hammock to relax and be in nature. It can be very buggy, is moderately difficult, and under canopy of trees the entire way.

What a joke! No trail markings. No way to cross the creek (4 times) without being an acrobat or getting your feet wet. A truly lackluster trail. The shell of the old building with the fireplaces was cool, but really not worth the effort

Fun trail is you are looking to play. Can' t get in a long distance, but fun to explore. Water was flowing so creek crossings were high and unavoidable. Only one on the trail... cold!

As others mentioned there's stream crossings. Be mindful of the weather and current rainfall as many trail parts show water runoff. Not sure on the normal water levels- went after recent rainfall during September and the stream was about 1'+ high depending where I crossed. There's a second unmapped trail with no water crossings but its uphill and gets overgrown in places. Update: went back after a couple days of no rain and the water levels had a noticeable drop. If you don't want to use a map, the trail basically follows the water upstream. The "ruins" are a halfway point with a small waterfall near the end.

Beautiful trail along the creek, be prepared for the crossings though! We had hikers from 8-46 and no trouble navigating the trail.

Nice trail by water. You have to cross the creek 4 times so your feet will get wet. Ruins were cool! There was a lot of mosquitoes.... bring the off with you on the hike!

Nice trail. 4 or 5 stream crossings. Starts with a deep dive into a little valley to the stream. Follow along for maybe a half mile then start the climb. I was hoping for a nice open view at the top but didn't find one.

Hiked back as far as where you would have to climb boulders in the stream. We weren't able to safely cross so we turned back. Overall it was a good hike. Beautiful scenery. We went off the trail at one point because the trail continued in front of us but it was very difficult to see. There was a very clearly marked trail across the stream up a hill.

Had to go throw 3 rivers just to find out that the trail abruptly ends. Followed the route on the map this app offered. Nothing marked. Never again.

Rocky trails, be prepared to scramble in places. Not really for all levels, more like moderate difficulty. Saw evidence of bears. Tricky hiking in the fall with all the leaves covering the path

Really nice hike. Just be sure to go down the hill from the parking lot. Abandoned stuff is really cool to see.
