Dear Meadow, Browns Run, and Liggett Trails is a 3.6 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Leeper, Pennsylvania that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from March until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
Beautiful scenery in ancient growth forest of white pines and hemlock. the trails are well maintained and marked. these are moderately traveled.
11.5 m hike out of Cook State Forest, 7.29.2020. Took Baker/Leggett trails out and back with a detour on Deer Meadow Trail (not worth it). 1200+ elev. Gorgeous shady path, perfect in mid summer.
Liggett Trail Super nice trail, well kept and very scenic. Very easy trail, good for beginners or for anyone looking for a nice walk. Some muddy patches and potentially buggy, we went in early April so the bugs were nonexistent. Would recommend to anyone looking for a calm way to spend an hour or two.
Unfortunately, I didn't get to finish this trail because I got there rather late in the day. The pics I uploaded are from Liggetts Trail. These trails actually form a part of what is known as Cooks Forest State Park. The trail is quite easy & if you're looking for just a leisurely stroll, this is the trail for you. Dogs are allowed on a leash, I took mine.
