best hike today this is the 3rd trail we have tried and we made it about half way which is better then not even being able to start. it was a very nice trail lots of trees and animal tracks there were lots of frogs and the wife seen a buck. I give this trail 3 stars do to the amount of mud tall grass and the fact we couldn't finish the trail

HikingMuddy

We couldn't enter from the west side of the trail due to it being very wet. We entered from the east side and made it about a mile before we ran into widespread puddles and mud and decided to turn around. It was a mix of sand and dirt. Great for seeing some birds. The juxtaposition of biomes between the sandy areas and wooded areas was pretty neat. I'd probably do it again when the water level is a bit lower.

Completely overgrown. Had to turn around. Didn’t mind the muddiness, but there was little to no trail direction to follow.

A nice trail that cuts through Presque Isle. Personally I did not enjoy walking through the sand and there were sections of overgrown tall grass. At the time it was also extremely muggy and wet which didn’t help the experience. Also, beware of bugs! Overall a good short hike depending on conditions!

A short trail with a combination of grassy trail, dirt, and sand.
