Davis Trail is a 2.1 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Scranton, Pennsylvania that features a waterfall. The trail is good for all skill levels and primarily used for hiking and walking.
It amazes me how people can swim in that cesspool. Great place to go if you're on a treasure hunt for dirty diapers and wish to contract hepatitis. Would be an amazing place if it wasn't destroyed by trash and graffiti. If Scranton ever burns to the ground I would definitely return.
Davis trail is awesome ! The water fall and gourde kick ass ! Enjoyed going off trail to explore the train tracks , lots of art work and the abandoned train tunnel is really cool !
Amazing! You HAVE to visit the waterfall off Davis Trail
This is a easy trail in the city centering Nay Aug Park. The best part was the waterfall which empties into a pool of water. Kids were jumping off the cliffs into the water and climbing the cliffs. We even saw mountain laurel along the trail. The only detract ions wre the nearby railroad and highway.
Nay Aug Park has quite a few trails in varying skill levels, but nothing past moderate, including some paved trails for biking. there is also several play grounds and picnic areas.
Overall a very enjoyable place.
It's a nice park for the family to spend the day. There is a short trail to overlook a waterfall and small pool of water that is used by some as a swimming hole. Kids would like the large tree house that you can walk into. We were there for a car show on Father's Day in 2010, which they held in the park that is walking distance from the tree house and trail area. There is also a public pool area. Here is a link to a website for the park. http://www.scrantonpa.gov/nayaug_park.html
Can someone point to me in the direction of the mine that's fenced in?
Pretty quick , but there is enough land there besides the trail worth exploring. The gorge is beautiful! It is close to me so I like to walk around here a lot.
