Well-blazed, easy trail that would be good for trail running. Some very mild up and down. Was doing both Darlington and Tuscarora trails and got there a bit earlier than planned so ended up doing most of Darlington trail in the dark. Though I will say was a neat experience in late fall since you can see all the lights from the towns in Cumberland Valley right through the trees the whole way. Even in the dark was simple enough trail to follow (with headlamp of course). Though the trail did have the look of potentially being a little overgrown in the warmer seasons. Would also recommend taking the short segment down AT to the Cumberland Valley Overlook.

This is a good trail to take someone on that is newer to hiking or backpacking. Its rated as moderate but it definitely leans to the easier side of the dial. Saw a few good sized white tails. Trail is well marked and ran into some volunteers working where the Darlington ends and tuscarora trail begins. Very cool, friendly people. Thank you to all the people that keep the trails nice for all of us to enjoy!

The first mile of hike was all uphill on a dirt road which ended at the Tuscarora Trail. The next mile was pretty flat on the ridge line. the Tuscarora Trail ends at the Appalachian Trail and we continued on the Darlington Trail.

It isnt the best trail if youre looking for something to see. It was difficult to find the orange trail markers. It started to get boring 2 miles into the trail. We didnt go to the complete end of the trail but it was like that same thing the whole time. I would only recommend this if you like walking and dont really wanna site see hiking trails.
