Many sections of packed, crushed stone. Other sections undeveloped and may only be passable by hiking or mountain bike.
Great trail. Right along the river, great for kids and dogs too. Found some beautiful small painted rocks along the way that someone left for kids to find.... left them there for others to appreciate.
Wide gravel trail. Great for biking. Easy hike, some nice views of the river rapids
Perfect for a fall day excursion. Will be back to check it out in the spring.
The trail was incredible. Drove 3 hrs to bike this trail and would definitely do it again. 25 miles. loved it!
Awesome place to run: the gravel makes for lower impact running, and as a well-maintained trail, there’s no roots or rocks to worry about tripping over. Most people were biking though. We walked one day and ran the other. We covered from the White Haven parking lot (130) to mile 127.5, and from the Rockport parking lot (121) to mile 124.5. We heard what we are fairly certain was a mountain lion - their calls are distinct. We didn’t see or hear many birds. The waterfalls, river, natural rock formations, and old locks all make for a beautiful setting.
Flat, partially paved and part gravel. Very little shade which made our time there short on a super hot day. More bikers than foot traffic.
