Good hike with a nice overlook! We did the creek trail, doubling back to do the overlook for around 9 miles. Not a tough one, gets steep up towards the overlook though, all in all, very nice!

smooth, clean trail. some rocks as it goes higher. nice incline towards the end. go about .3 miles past the view to get to Darlington shelter/ campsites /privy. was super packed last night so we headed back down and stayed at the site with the rusted vehicle. Cowboy camped with no shelter and slept rough lol.. bugs crawled on me all night and suprisingly got chilly . nice site though

Nice 4 mile out and back for beginning hikers. 50% of hike is flat and follows the Conodoguinet Creek. Well maintained and shaded.

A nice walk in the woods on a well-worn, well-maintained trail. The gradient is very gentle until the 1/2 mile or so before the overlook when it steepens and becomes more rocky. The overlook is a nice vista, but there's no other lookouts before the trail's endpoint.

Nice area but if your looking up mountain biking trails apparently you can’t do that here? Signs are posted for no mountain bikes. Not sure why?

Easy trail out and back! We hiked to the Darlington Shelter and met some hikers who are trekking the entire App Trail from Georgia to Maine! This trail is moderately difficult but easier once you get up the State Gameland road to the entrance of the App/Darlington Trail.

Decent hike with a nice lookout at the top. Not very hard but a steady uphill on the way out. Clean trail with creeks flowing most of the way.

This is a beautiful trail. The first 1.75 miles of the trail is flat and little elevation. The way up to the overlook is a little rocky and a little steep. There was wild flowers on the side and nice tree coverage. It is well maintained and little to no trash. No a good trail to social distance on because walkways are narrow. The overlook is a smaller area compared to similar hikes in the area. Not too crowded with people. It also does go under Wertzville Road, you do not have to cross the street.

Hike this 2 weeks ago (& many times before)- nice wildflowers and several types of song birds. Always see people on this trail and all ages. Impressive to me how the real young ones make the final climb. If you continue on to top passed overlook and drop into Perry County you will quickly see blue blaze to Darlington Shelter. No real views but does have a picnic table for comfy place to eat/snack.

My compliments to Cumberland County AT club. Trail was very well maintained. Nice hike, steep and narrow near the top, but not a major problem.

Great hike, took the family and dog on the trail. It can be a bit crowded but worth the view. There are lots of trails at the top

This was a very nice trail. Heavier traffic with hikers wanting to get out of the house from COVID-19 shut down. A couple black snakes seen. Beautiful view at look out! Some wet, muddy areas to maneuver around.

Great trail. Went earlier in the morning to beat the “traffic”. It meanders through the woods and then heads up the mountain at a steady ascent to the overlook. You can hike past the overlook but we did not. Perfect day for a hike. As we came down the mountain is was getting busy with other hikers. My senior dog handled it well at a slow but steady pace. Well maintained trail. Pretty little wild flowers along the way.

This is a nice trail, a little flat at first but then a good climb up for about .8 of a mile. You can keep going once you get to the overlook or you can turn around.

I felt like the trail had a lot of tree trunk roots in the trail making the trail a little hard to walk on.
