This trail was meant for horseback riding but it can also be an excellent hiking trail as well. The numbers represent trail posts. On the post there are numbers and arrows showing which way the trail goes. They are usually placed at trail crossings. For the most part there are very little trail markers except in areas were the trail can get confusing. Then there are small round markers with the horseback riding symbol. You will pass views of the Delaware River and the Kittatinny Ridge in NJ. What made this loop peaceful is the fact that it is hidden. It weaves through many ravines and Valleys were the sunlight does not shine bright.

Second attempt on this trail… I believe that about 3 miles in the trail is blocked by a fallen tree.

I was unable to follow this trail fully as I ran out of time. A few notes. The GPS on the suggested route seems to be off, so the app keeps on warning you that you’re off the trail. However the route marked on the map itself is accurate and easy to follow. The starting point for the route is a little bit further on the indicated by the Google map directions. So drive a little bit further than suggested and you’ll find another parking lot and the trail head. Personally I found this hike a little bit ho-hum. A lot of walking through the forest, which is nice enough, but nothing too spectacular. It must be said I didn’t make it along the full route that was suggested, so maybe I just missed exciting bit.

Trail is in great condition, well marked and mostly dry. Hunters may be present at times.

Great horse trail. I’m anxious for the Park Service to open it up again.

Amazing trails, even though I wish they were kept more of a secret than they are. However, it is very rare that you will pass anyone on these trails to begin with. Trails are poorly marked, but they will all get you back to a road regardless. The gravel Zimmerman Road headed up the mountain has been returned to it's natural state up to the second culvert. Lots of time and effort was put into the cutting of trees from these trails by someone after Hurricane Sandy, so they are all clear aside from an occasional fell.

Fabulous place to ride. Rode about 11 miles in mostly a varied loop. Fabulous runs, obstacles, hills. Great trail.
