This is a nice area to go for an easy hike. Instead of following the trail as marked, we stuck with the lake loop. A good spot to stretch the legs.

Easy hike. You could take an all terrain stroller down this. It has both gravel roads and grassy mown woods paths. The pond is pretty and if we hadn’t gone with 7 kids, there is probably wildlife other than the children.

A beautiful hike, fields, woods, ponds, streams. well marked trails. The deeper in you go the more challenging it is. Lots of plants and insects to admire.

Only reason I gave this 4 stars and not 5 is because of its lousy markings. Meaning its not marked at all. This app was extremely helpful in finding the beginning and end of the trail. Gorgeous, nice terrain walk though! Beautiful pond, lots of song birds and spotted a gray heron in flight! Would do it again.

great place to hike and watch wildlife. I live very close to here and hike it many times throughout the year. I've seen everything from rattlesnakes and bear to deer and coyotes. Keep your camera handy here cause you never know what will show up!

Nice walk overall. The pond is quite interesting with lots marshy areas. The reason I gave only 4 stars is because the first half mile or so of the trail on the east side of the loop is stone ballast, which is difficult to walk on. Further on, a foot path evolved along the side of the road. Once you get to the pond, the trail surface is grass and/or fine gravel. Also note that there is a parking area before the one for the pond trail, just as you cross the bridge over the creek. There is a nice trail here that follows Masthope Creek downstream for about 1/2 mile. Very pretty and easy grass trail.
