HikingGreat!

I would rate between medium and hard but the total distance is short enough to rate it as is. The waterfall "mid-way" makes it totally worth it. Lovely hike!

No flip flops. This was a very steep, rocky trail. The trail to the gorge overview was unmarked. Beautiful hike. Very isolated. Make sure you go to the gorge overlook. Spectacular.

A great work out, but nothing dangerous. Poor trail signage at top. Note to get on trail, you need to go down the stairs from parking lot under the road along the river.

Did this one a while ago.. pretty view abs nice waterfall. Really wish the Glen Onoko falls trail was still open, that was an awesome part of the loop.

Of all days to forget my trekking poles! This hike reminded me how out of shape I am, but I can’t think of a better way to sweat out all of the gravy from Thanksgiving. Relentless incline right from the start, but once you get to the top of the ridge, most of the hike is pretty level. The trail itself was mostly rocks. Makes you feel like you are really hiking but makes you concentrate too. The overlook was amazing. The falls were crowded. We got an early start and only saw three people on the eastern part of the trail. Most people head straight for the falls on the shortcut trail but the overlook at the Ketchel’s tooth is way more worth it.

Trail shaped like a balloon. We went clockwise. My kids didn’t like the quantity of rocks but it was fun to see the waterfall.

Steep, rocky, beautiful! The gorge vista and waterfalls were amazing! Wear hiking boots and bring poles if you like them. There is quite a bit of elevation.

This is quite the climb in the beginning but luckily the climb isn’t too long. Kicked me butt though. We went clockwise taking the shortcut to the falls first. Once you hit the falls you can hike down the closed trail a little to get a better view of cave falls since the open trail only takes you to the top of it. From the falls to the two lookout points are a much easier, relaxing hike. The short loop sees a lot of traffic but not many people took the last leg to gorge vista, which is surprisingly because the few is amazing and it’s not a difficult stretch (although poorly marked and difficult to see with all the leaves). The vista made the whole trip worth it.

GREAT! I would recommend going clockwise, it is a lot easier. The falls are beautiful and it’s very well marked.

CROWDED We loved this trail! It was challenging, but safe. Wore our boots which helped with all of the rocks. 6 and 11 year old did well.

This moderate trail will definitely get your heart pumping and give you a workout. The leaves are changing colors right now (beginning of October) and are very vibrant and bold. The rocks can be a little steep and slippery when climbing up and down the trails, so be aware of your footing.

Hit the trail early in the morning, trekked to the falls first, then to Jim Thorpe overlook, which was ok. Definitely worth the trip out to the vista, although it is not marked very well. Saw many hikers and groups on the way down. Really enjoyed the hike.

Definitely rough terrain going up to the top. The overlook was really cool. The descent down was much easier than going up.
