Beautiful views on both sides of the mountain. The path shown is the beginning of a lot of other trails on this mountain. I went a short distance down 2 separate ones. One of which led me to meet my first rattlesnake. This was a great hike! I hope to be back soon!

While the views from this vista are great, the actual hike is not very exciting. 45% of the “hike” starts out along the roadway until you enter the trail head. Once in the trail it was single-track and easily traversed (not moderate at all). The big benefit was traffic was very light (even when the parking lot and starting point was packed). There was some decent wildlife sightings along the way to make it enjoyable enough (giant toad, falcons and white tailed deer).

Nice and easy trail with beautiful scenic vistas. Would recommend for beginners. Only downside is half the trail looping back to the parking lot is on the main road and not really a trail at all.

Nice little hike but half of it is on the road. Therefore I don’t agree with kid friendly.

The view at parking lot 2 is absolutely gorgeous, and it's the starting point of the loop if you follow the directions from the All Trails app. There is no Camelback loop trail actually. The loop contains the South Trail and a mile or so of road to get back to the parking lot. There are only signs for the South Trail. The route on the map is accurate. If you record your hike in the All Trails app, you can follow the GPS directions to complete the hike. We did it in July, and there were lots of bugs, I would recommend bringing bug spray.

the 'upper' South trail is well cropped providing a large path, while the 'lower' South trail is not. i pulled about 20-30 ticks off of my pants today. not exaggerating either. ugh. love the upper trails though, great hiking prep for the AT.

Great hike, saw a bear

A good hike that we enjoyed with a 5 and 8 yr old. We drove to the top of Camelback and parked in lot#2. We found a nice trail map and followed the signs to Vista Tr., which lead us to South Tr. We branched off South Tr. to North Tr. to end our 3.5 mile hike. It was a nice combination of easy decline, rocky trails and the end of North Tr. had a more challenging steep climb. The trail wasn’t that well marked and even with the trial map, we had to make a few guesses on the route to take. Overall a nice hike but a little confusing on the path at points.

Nice, laid back hike! Great views, a few different trails nearby also worth checking out.

Since you can drive to the top, that took a bit away from the majesty of this hike opportunity. Well maintained, nice and easy track. I wouldn't call this moderate. Probably wouldn't do this hike again.

Great view! Trails a little short, but it's good for a day hike. Lots of fresh wild berries in the summer

Not accessible! There's a sign of "Road Closed" and no further information available. So we turned back.

Had a blast on this hike, awesome views and generally easy trails. Well marked and cared for trails, will definetly be back in the fall.
