Decent trail over the spine of the ridge. While it is listed as easy, I would argue it is moderate in difficulty. Our 6 and 8 year olds pushed through it! One point of interest is a decent spring below the steepest ascent to the southeast of the ridge. It is referenced by sign (H2O Source) with an arrow at the junction of the Brewer Path and the Mid State Trail along the ridge. It is likely a reliable option for Mid State Trail through-hikers, although more convenient options probably exist for their route during journeys through lower passes... as the Brewer Path travels down a respectable descent from the MST to the spring.
