Beautiful area to explore but pay close attention to your trail map as trails are not well marked and intersect what I believe are old logging roads. Because of this my 3 mile hike turned into a 6 mile one and we ended up well south of the dam crossing Trout Creek on a hunting/logging road on our way back to the main road in then had to go a half mile north again to the parking area. Trails/roads were in great condition, though, and easy to walk on.
Trail was ok. Not well marked. Came home with 3 ticks.
3 miles out on a sketchy road. This is in hunting/game territory. Use to be a defense site. Warned about coming across live ammunition. Would not come back with my family again.
Good beginner to intermediate trail. Did it with my 8yr old son, he liked it a lot. Other reviewers mentioned tall grass, no problem with it in late March.
This trail is not well maintained and it is very easy to end up off trail due to poor markings. Scenery is pleasant around lake and there are beautiful wildflowers - however, there are large sections of felled trees and others marked or dead. Beware -We ended up with several ticks.
Great hike along a beautiful creek. Too rocky for a good trail run, but several good spots for a cool down in the water!
We went trail running at Brady's Lake yesterday and had a great adventure. The trail is not well maintained in the summer so there is grass over a foot tall on much of the trail. The loop trail is not well marked so be careful to not lose your way. The scenery is beautiful and we saw lots of wildlife...red spotted efts, wild turkeys, and a black bear.
Took the kids mountain biking on the trail. It was difficult for the smaller kids but they muscled through. The wildflowers were gorgeous! The fields sang with the sound of the bees pollinating. Truly beautiful and amazing. Also a great workout.
