Blue Mountain Ski Area is a 9.8 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Danielsville, Pennsylvania that features a great forest setting and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round.
hiked this many times. little gap to Lehigh gap is a relatively easy trail minus the decent to Palmerton. this was just a 2 mile camp out for the night. hung in some ferns. loved it.
See my previous review of the trail from Smith gap towards little gap. The Delphi cut off is exceedingly good on that trail however it is the southern portion from there until about one quarter mile from little cat that becomes problematic. I did not take the trail in this direction but tried from little gap on and the trail disappears. For a trail like the Appalachian Trail where you have backpackers this should notB. I do not recommend the trail from blue Mountain Road headed north. Try the trail headed south to see the Superfund site as has previously been discussed on that trail. Avoid this section for all butts dirty campers and hikers. Certainly if you wish to blaze a trail for practice your Compass navigation it is simple because you can follow theRidgeline. If you're looking for and a Robeck trail to hike rapidly this one is not for you.
Appalachian trail runs through here. Rocky, as usual, slightly uphill. Huge boulder field/mountain w/ some nice views.
