Nice hike through some different terrain but like others said, it’s certainly not well marked. I decided to keep going and cross the road, following the old service road around the park to make it a 2.2 walk. My favorite part of the hike is the old growth trees with breast height diameters around 8’. Oh and watch out for the horse manure on the trails.

Saying this trail is poorly marked is a huge understatement. It’s not a large area and I got great cell phone service so your risk of getting “lost” are low and you are in Sewickley after all (not exactly the most remote area in the world). I went here and had every intention of doing the full loop but it was way too difficult to navigate while walking a dog. I still had a nice time, the trails are well maintained and while there were five or so cars in the parking lot, I came across no one while walking.

Really enjoyed this hike. So close to our house and I never knew about this park. Was very secluded On a weekday. Highly recommend for a short hike

Great shade and doable hills for most. Light traffic—saw two people horseback riding and one couple walking a dog. Speaking of dogs, wish there was a good creek running through for my dog to cool off in (it’s 95 degrees today) and I wish it had trail markings—could not have navigated the loop without this app/GPS. Love that you’re allowed to let your dog go off leash once away from the parking lot!

Just an all around simple quick walk, I’m sure it could be lengthened for a higher mileage loop if you wanted. In this loop many other trails are intersected requiring a GPS if you’re not familiar with the area. Pleasant, quiet, nothing extremely notable but was what I expected. Clearer trail markings would help boost the score but I had no major complaints.

currently on this, rather, trying to get back to it. as others mentioned, a lot of trails cross over, and the app "red" lines on map do not always go to a trail. easy enough to get through with the black dotted app map, but be aware that there are very few trail blazes. a few signs, but they are not clear which trail heads where.

Great shared hiking/horse riding/mountain biking trails. A bit muddy in spots but easy to walk around. Many trail junctions and poorly marked. Recommend having this app open to know where you are to avoid being out longer than you planned if you’re not familiar with the trail system

explored the Sewickley Heights Park trail system in March. No leaves and no snow means it is not at it's most picturesque while the trails (most shared with horses) were muddy. Still a nice trail system that is doable for anyone.

Nice trail. Hilly and a bit muddy in spots but a lovely, peaceful walk. Perfect for a quick morning walk/hike.

Nice little trail and surrounding trails are good too. Problem is there aren’t many signs, only at certain trailheads.

Pretty good easy trail. Somewhat hard to follow in several places due to Ys, Ts or the trail cutting through an open field. Not a big deal.

It was a really nice area. However, the trails are not marked well. Thankfully, they all lead back to either each other or to the main road. It was a beautiful day, and everything was starting to turn green once again.

The trail markers are not very good. But there are some nice easy trails here. And it would hard to get lost as most of the trails loop back to one another. Good place for a short family hike.

The trails were a little washed out because of the rain but the gravel road loop was ok

Nice gorge, good inclines and declines. perimeter trail is relatively level while inner trails change elevation more rapidly. quite muddy after a solid rain.
