I took my 10 and 12 year old kids on part of this trail this morning and we loved it. The abandoned road and buildings sucked us right in, as did the creek. My fearless daughter went across the rope wire bridges with no problem. Me, being the only adult there, waded across the creek instead. It has rained every day for the last five days so the water was pretty high, but at 5’3, the water didn’t go above my waist. So, if the wire freaks you out and you don’t mind getting wet, you can easily cross. The wildflowers taking back the old roadway shoulders were gorgeous, and filled with butterflies and dragonflies. Toads and frogs were all over the place. There were only two disadvantages - the PG-13 graffiti and the noises from the adjacent quarry. Neither of these things bothered us, but some people would be annoyed by them. It’s probably quieter on the weekends. I’m glad the app had it listed!

Lots of fun and tons to see; flooded quarry, abandoned house and buildings, ruined double-yellow roadway, rock climbing and all of God’s splendor. The kids loved exploring, and there is no shortage of trailheads and offshoots to check out. I even managed to get my tiny 9-year old across the initial cable bridge without incident. It made the trip that much more memorable.

Great trail! Hot and a little buggy. You can either stay on trails or hike through the woods. Wood trail are very steep and will make you sweat. There are really cool rope bridges to cross the rivers and you can rock repel if you have the equipment. A good parking lot and you can have picnics if you want.

There are 2 ways to enter this area also known as Old 82 to locals. One entrance is a road that is graffitied with beautiful yet disturbing art. Adds a little interest to your walk as you can read and look at art. From the other side you have to cross cable bridges which are super fun but one slip and you are in the river. (It’s easier than you think) Along your journey, you will find a few old abandoned structures and a quarry. You can also find a BEAUTIFUL lake here. It’s a little walk but nothing extreme.

Nice, quiet area in the back of Birdsboro. Took my little dog (who can't swim) and had to carry her in my shirt to cross the cable bridge. The graffiti art is quite beautiful!!

Nice hike. The park seems abandoned altogether, but still nice. To get to the actually quarry with the rock cliff: cross tight rope, walk towards abandoned house and follow paved road just beyond house, cross second tight rope and bear to the right, just past the abandoned barn you will find a sign regarding rock climbing, follow upper or lower path to reach the quarry. The lower path takes you along the lake.

Nice spot at Hay Creek but we couldn’t do the hike because several of my kids were too short to climb across the cables above the creek. Since it was a cold November day, we couldn’t go through the water either so we had to call it quits.

Great 3.5 mile hike. Love the tight rope you have to cross to enter the trail. Def a unique thing to see and do on a hike. Multi terrain trail that has some minor elevation changes and a couple of nice things to see. Didn't like the spray paint everywhere but other than that it was a great hike with many intersecting trails into the woods. The big pond/lake would be an awesome place to grab lunch. Saw some rock climbers which was pretty cool

I love climbing and hiking here. There's a nice challenge before the quarry that takes you right to it by crossing Hay Creek just after the bridge and climbing up above.
