Very nice trail. Some of the bridges along the trail are rotted and falling apart though. This would make a great Eagle Scout project for a local scout and would be a great improvement to the trail

This trail is well blazed and was actually quite busy while we were there. I would rate this as a moderate hike due to the moderate incline that seems endless. For at least half a mile it feels like you are climbing a mountain and you will never reach the top. However, the journey is well worth it because the rocks are beautiful. There's plenty of rocks to explore and a beautiful vista overlook from the top of one of them. You can see for miles. I suggest driving to the rocks as there's a parking area and picnic area by the rocks for those who aren't up for the hike. We took the Trap Loop trail on the way back and found it much easier hiking. The descent back into the valley wasn't near as steep as the ascent up the hill. The Trap loop trail is less traveled and provides more privacy. I want to come back and do this trail in the spring as there are thousands of natural rhodedendrons and mountain laurel bushes that will be beautiful when blooming.

Did this hike twice. We parked at clear creek campground and hiked up to the overlook and took the trap loop back down to the campground. Such a great hike.

Really neat trail that ends at Beartown Rocks! The overlook is one of the best in the area. Great trail all together!

This trail is actually longer than 0.1 miles. It really starts from the Clear Creek SP parking lot on rt 949 (just before the bridge over creek). You cross rt 949 and the trail meanders along the Clear Creek before heading steeply uphill to Beartown Rocks. My husband proposed to me on one of the bridges over the creek.

Very beautiful trail cutting up the northern end of Clear Creek State Park. The Trail is clearly marked and is a moderate climb (as compared to other Pennsylvania woods trails). The Rocks at the top of the hill are beautiful.

Good trail. Very hilly. Make sure you're in shape as the hill that makes up most of the trail is steep.

Fantastic hill but make sure you're in shape. Very steep. The view at the top is worth the trek up.
