There is no trail marked "Bavington Trail" in Hillman State Park as far as I can tell. As another person commented, there are good signs for various trails intersecting the roads through the Park. Hit up the Switchback trail which I believed to be part of the Bavington. This trail goes a little less than 3 miles before hitting Abby's trail. Did Abby's for a mile or two but didnt complete the loop since I wasn't sure where the Abby trail ends up or if it was even part of the Bavington loop. There were no trail maps available in the park to indicate where these trails end up and all the trails in the park are blazed red which makes things confusing. Trail itself was actually really nice pine forest. Very small elevation changes.

Hiked. The trail is marked as Switchback Trail not Bavington. The trail is marked red but intersects with other trails which are also marked red. Other than this, the trails were well maintained and great for horses and trail bikes. We had a great time.

I enjoyed this with the dog. The paths were mostly dry and covered with pine needles. Very quiet.

4 great routes that are for any skill level. Well marked, easy parking, and not crowded. Best mountain biking I've found within an hour of Pittsburgh.

Some of the best riding anywhere. Bavington doesn't need to kill you aerobically (you can always push yourself harder), as most climbs are short. Pine-needle carpeting and smart trailbuilding make this place shed water unbelievably well: even a day or two after a downpour, a few puddles are all that are left. Figure-8 trail off Knowlton Road is short but amazing; and the loop leading directly away from the Haul Road parking lot is generally kept up well, and it's a blast to ride. Definitely recommended in the Greater Pittsburgh Area for new riders as technical and aerobic sections are small and sporadic.
