Bake Oven Knob has always been a great spot (been going there most of my life), but it's popularity also brought people who would rather deface the area with litter and graffiti. It's also virtually impossible to take in the view without other people around. If you're heading here for a natural setting and a nice vista, do yourself a favor and hike about .25 miles past the knob. It's a decent scramble that will eventually take you to a view just as nice with less people and graffiti (see my 2 pictures).

Lots of trash and lots of graffiti. It was a super fun hike for our 5 year old, “difficult yet fun” as she described it. We likely won’t be back, though the view was nice, the trash and graffiti was distracting, as were the people playing music.

This is a 9.5 mile hike that has a lot to offer. -Bolder scramble, flat soft patches just when you needed them, abundance of rocks and campsites, shelter, water source, and a long rocky descent after you thought your legs couldn't go another step. Our bonus was a porcupine. There are several parking options. We parked across the bridge where only a few cars can fit. It's nice going across the bridge.

Short trail. Can be done in under a half hour but the view is breathtaking

Very rocky and crowded (prob due to covid). Nice views but hard to enjoy because you have to stare at the ground to avoid tripping.

NOBO- Id advise to avoid the Bake Oven Knob Shelter, since it’s so heavily trafficked there’s always someone kind of off there. The knob has amazing views and I think the graffiti is pretty!

Easy trail, was stopped by the game warden and warned of a guy walking around in a gas mask telling people the nuclear winter is coming. Other than that the Graffiti kinda takes away from the natural beauty. But still a great view

Views are nice, but graffiti is disappointing. This is what happens when places are easily accessible to non hikers. Part of the hike involved cleaning up other people’s garbage :( Continue past the knob for better experience.

Loved the view but the graffiti is really terrible.

Wanted to check it out on a cool clear day and the views were not disappointing. The hike up can be a slight challenge if you’re not used to hiking on rough terrain but the view makes it well worth the effort. The hike back down is a piece of cake. I will be coming back in a few weeks as the leaves start to change.

Beautiful view once you reached the overlooking spot. A lot of boulders, moderate hike and it is better to use above the ankle boots.

Lots of graffiti. Take pics with the black and white filter to help with that. Quick hike that is worth the view. Several good side trails too. We spent 2 hours here which was mostly sitting and looking at the view
