Great trail. Keep yours eyes on the tree markings. Some points that is the only indication of trail to forest.

Went on 3/6, a cloudy windy day around freezing. Lots of snow left, pretty deep in many places, but it was pretty hard packed. the north trail had a couple fairly icy exposed sections and it was often hard to find the trail. I'd recommend trekking poles and maybe even crampons eg microspikes. If you go on a warm sunny day anytime soon, expect lots of mud and slush

Lots of deep post holing on the north scenic trail. Pretty brutal

Fun day on the trail! Took North Trail back. Super windy and cold, icy sections so be careful. The views were so worth it!

Great incline for the first half; about 1600ft up and then gorgeous views accompanied by a nice steep decline.

Very fun! I took it clockwise to save the views towards the end. The whole trail is pretty rocky, good boots and poles are helpful. The first 2 miles or so are on an incline but it flattens out for a bit at the top of the trail. Great views, definitely recommend for a day trip.

Nice 5 mile loop. Lots of rocks, steep incline, flattens at the top. Saw a few hunters. Fog was dense. Down hill seemed harder on my knees navigating between rocks. Friend fell flat on her butt, ouch. Dog had a good time. Great parking lot but some dog jumped on my car door and scratched it. Trail was well marked but it was still easy to get off trail. Thanks for this app.

Fun trail to hike. Plenty of parking at the trail head. Going clockwise, the beginning of the trail can be a little confusing to follow at times, especially in the fall when there are lots of leaves on the ground. Nice views, especially when you reach the north side of the hike. Lots of rocks to walk over, so hiking boots are definitely recommended.

Nice trail, well marked. Only “bad” thing is that you can hear the traffic pretty much all the way. Really warm day with 68 degrees!
