Appalachian Trail: South Mountain Ridge through Pine Grove Furnace State Park is a 10.5 mile moderately trafficked point-to-point trail located near Biglerville, Pennsylvania that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and birding and is best used from March until November. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Yeah for the official Half Way Point on the AT. The actual mileage varies from year to year so look for the little marker. Also the General Store has ICE CREAM. I suffered no ill effects except for not wanting to hike further that day.
