We broke this hike into two sections: from Route 40/I-70 parking lot (not far from Pine Knob) to Wolfsville Road (8.8 miles), and from Wolfsville Road to Penn Mar Park (10.5 miles), and covered the entire distance on two different Saturdays. There is a small gravel parking lot off Wolfsville Road (google address: 11359 Wolfsville Road, Smithsburg, MD) that could accommodate at least 8 cars.

Highly recommend this hike.
