Recommend this hike , mostly on fire road with good incline. Not much to see but great place to take the dogs.

First to Review

Pros: Quiet trail with little or no traffic. We only passed one couple the entire trail. The beginning portion of the trail (leading up to the loop) has some nice small water features and pretty vegetation and rocks. Cons: This trail is pretty boring. After the first mile or so, there really isn't anything remarkable to look at. Also, there is no reason to take the Fire Break Trail- just stay on the Pinnacle Trail. The Fire Break Trail doesn't offer any different scenery and the entire length of it is loose 3"+ rocks with significant leaf cover. So, is is difficult to see where you are stepping and the rocks are not well compacted so it is easy to misstep. Once you turn off from the Pinnacle Trail, you actually walk on a gravel road for a mile or so, and then the trail turns into a multi-use trail for bikes, horses and snowmobiles.
