Park at shelter 9 and cross the street then go under the Dam Road bridge and turn left. Nice hike with one stretch of sun. Lots of birds and wildlife.

Nice trail. Saw two osprey and the nest. Trailhead a little hard to find. Follow trail behind restroom and stay to right to find trail. Half the trail is in the woods and half is in the sun. Overall nice trail for the area.

Trail was not clearly marked to get to, no trailhead. It is a snowmobile trail or an old one, osprey nest was awesome. Saw lots of birds.

This is an awesome trail through several different habitats. We parked at the shelter and hiked down to the main trail (starting from behind the restrooms). One part of the trail has the lake on one side and wetlands with beautiful lily pads on the other side. There's an osprey nest in this section and we saw an osprey fly around and then land on the nest. We also saw a great blue heron fly into the swampy area on this section of the trail. The trail heads into a wooded area along the lake next. All very pleasant and beautiful. Trail is wide and easy once you get past the trek down from the parking lot, which isn't bad but there are some downed trees to navigate. Love, love, loved this trail.

Great trail, lots of wonderful views of the lake, wetlands, wildlife and wooded sections... take the little path in the wooded section up the hill to the bluff looking out north on the lake... This trail is actually longer if you want to go south from the start, but we focused on the northern end where all the lake views are
