HikingGreat!

Very pretty views and lots of benches to take in the scenery. Trail was busy this Sunday afternoon, but mask usage was good and people were polite/gave space. Lots of dog walkers, too.

Walking

I did this last week. Absolutely gorgeous little walk. Besides a quick detour through a neighborhood, you are pretty much next to the ocean the whole time. Be careful as there are signs posted warning that the cliffs are unstable so don’t get too close to the water.

Absolutely gorgeous views from this trail! Had a lovely sunny break in weather to hike this with our 12 year old standard poodle. This was easy and flat with plenty of spots to go down to the rocks although I do advise caution, especially if you have small children. One could easily get swept off the rocks if not paying attention. I expect in the summer this is extremely busy and there’s not much parking available.

HikingGreat!

Did this trail last year, never posted a review. But one of my favorite views. Not a native Oregonian, but I absolutely love the coast.

Running

Stayed at the fireside motel and decided to run the trai in the morning. Around 7AM there was only one other couple on the trail. The sunrise is beautiful to watch on this trail.

make the trail even more fun by doing it as a boulder scramble. even better is to keep walking north of the trail until you tire and have someone pick you up. you get to some really serene, rural beaches.

Easy hike and well groomed trail making for and easy stroll if just wanting to take it easy and enjoy the ocean views. Plenty of areas to walk off trail to explore the rocks as well. Everyone wearing masks as they passed.

Nice and easy stroll along the shore. Peaceful. I’m glad I was wearing layers. Winds get a bit chilly at times, then the sun hits and it gets hot.

Wonderful, easy trail with beautiful views along the coast. In some areas at low tide you can walk down and explore the tide pools. We saw grew anemones, sea stars, and crabs. It was beautiful and a leisurely walk. This would be a nice walk with children.

One reviewer said it’s more of a path, which is true. Nice, easy path; mostly fine gravel so easier on the joints than pavement. Gorgeous views & plenty of places to sit & consider the beauty of the coast! Mostly in the open. I’ll do it again!!

The best part of this trail is the access to the basalt slabs that line the coast. At low tide there are lots of tide pools to explore.

Now open... More of a path than a Trail. Unless you go off the path. This is a great place to explore, picnic, sit a chill, and watch the waves break against the rocks. Go toward high tide and it gets impressive. Stormy season is probably even better. Watch out for sneaker waves! * No Parking fee. * GPS works. * Vault toilets.

A lovely walk with views of the ocean the entire way. There are a few spots you can climb down to the beach or to tide pools. My grandpa loved it and now it always reminds me of him.

If you park at the mouth of the river near the bathroom you have a longer walk around 3 miles round trip.

Beautiful view, I love walking this trail. Pretty off-trail areas to explore as well. I run and push a stroller on it and it works for the most part, with a few challenging spots. Very dog friendly, even has a trash can for waste disposal.
