Directions from Sandy: Travel east on Highway 26 1.6 miles past Rhododendron to Road 2627, located on the north side of the highway. Follow 2627 4.3 miles to its end at the trailhead.

Switchback city! Literally the first couple of hours are uphill, but it was totally worth it! I didn't see another person on the trail and when I got to the top I was above the clouds! Simply gorgeous!!!

This was a fun but difficult hike! When we got to the top it was covered in snow so we couldn't go around the loop because the trail was covered from the snow. If you do go make sure to take a handheld gps.
