Waxmyrtle Trail is a 3.4 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Florence, Oregon that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, trail running, camping, and birding and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail.
Directions from Florence: Travel south on Highway 101 for seven miles. The trailhead is one mile west of U.S. Highway 101 on Siltcoos Beach Access Road.
We did this after the Lagoon Trail and it was just beautiful. It was a little overcast and chilly but the walk and the views were worth it. Took the dog and stopped before nesting area but it was still a great little hike.
Like the above comment, easy, relaxing trail. The latter half of the trail was closed when i walked it in mid March though, due to snowy plover nesting. So it also is a good bird watching trail if you're into that.
Very easy trail that will take you along a coastal stream, through wetlands, by Snowy Plover habitat and finally to the beach.
