Short easy hike, the sign marking the trail was gone but if you follow directions that include miles you can find the wide spot and trail on the left side of the road. Long drive, short hike, beautiful trail and falls! Did Lemolo falls as well.

Visited this waterfall twice. Once in March 2017 and again in October 2017. In March, the trail was completely snowed over. We made our own trail, post-holing through the snow (we didn’t expect snow, thus we neglected to bring snowshoes). It was an absolutely beautiful sight. When we visited the waterfall in October, it was just as impressive but easier to access. I recommend visiting this waterfall and Lemolo Falls during the same visit as they are close to each other.

Visited late May, still had some snow in places. Wonderful view of falls and basalt columns. Great add on to any trip you are already making,

Beautiful falls with a very short hike! The falls were beautiful and we took a little offshoot trail to get a closer look! I love all of the basalt formations in this area!

Although quite short and easy, this little hike takes you to a spectacular waterfall compete with a beautiful columnar basalt drape to the left of the waterfall. There is now a well built deck and rails overlooking the falls. A great warm up hike before tackling Lemolo falls. Watch out for the stealth mosquitos.
