Nature tripsGreat!

An easy path with amazing views of the Rogue River through volcanic terrain. Lots of spots for photos and just to enjoy the power of this river. Lots of people as well.

Beautiful, shaded trail along the river. Easy and flat trail. We started at the opposite end of the trail and headed toward the natural bridge and back. We had to do a little wondering to keep on the trail. We ended up on a short stretch of the union creek trail near the campground. Great hike for kids with many areas you can get down to the water. No mosquitoes.

possibly the prettiest, nicest trail along any River. But, I say that about a lot of the trails in southern Oregon.

Great trail except AllTrails is supper inaccurate on it and signage is gone. Because it follows the Rogue there are a lot of camp sites with little off-shot trails and no signage. The biggest thing to remember going from Natural Bridge to Rogue Gorge is don’t take the first Bridge and do take the second. Also after the second Bridge where you will cross over Union creek (the actual creek, not the town) you’ll then bare a hard left after the bridge where you will find the Rogue. It’s super flat the whole way. Busy with a lot of campers just checking it near there camp site so go early.

Really nice trial very well maintained and runs along the river the entire time. Plenty of spots to get right up to the water and let the pup have a swim ! The first mile runs right along side a camp ground and then there are some houses scattered about for the remainder. I would definitely rate it as easy.

the directions to here were horrible!! the road was completely blocked! we decided to just park in the open space and hike on the old road. never got to the start of the trail but did get too the rogue river. if you could find the correct way to get there, maybe it is an awesome hike. but it didn't work for us. i only give it 2 stars because the rogue river was beautiful, otherwise 1 star only because of the horrible gps not being updated.

Beautiful but not really all that well maintained. The natural bridge is a must see. More of an easy to moderate.

First to Review

The Natural Bridge part of the trail is spectacular. Beautiful river views and scenery, even in the fall. We continued on the Upper Rogue River Trail at the intersecting path and this part of the trail was not very well maintained. It was difficult to keep track of the trail from all the new growth. At one part, the trail actually crosses thru the river (the kids liked that) and continues on to the Gorge. On our way back, at the Natural Bridge and Upper Rogue River Trails intersection, instead of going back the way we started at the Natural Bridge, we took a left and crossed the foot bridge to the campground trail that looped around to the parking area. It was a nice hike for the most part.
