We hiked this as a family with 7 and 11 year olds. The first half was fairly easy. The switch backs towards the top though were hard. Awesome payoff at the end. Gorgeous views despite smoke from Terwilliger fire. We found a water bottle with some hiking goodies and a sign in sheet.

Beautiful, the trailhead sign posted by the ranger station says 3.1 miles. Hard to find the trailhead, a small sign on the left will tell you, be careful not to pass it. The hike itself is very uphill, lots of elevation. But the view really is worth it. Cool metal pole in the ground at the top. The old growth on the way up is also very pleasant.

I hiked this trail on 6/30/18. I highly recommend this hike, the scenery is incredible.

If you don't hike as much as you'd like, this trail may be closer to hard than moderate; however, it is a relatively short hike. The biting flies were out, so bring bug spray.

We were the only ones out on this little-traveled trail today! While it is quite steep in places, it is not very long. It has a beautiful forest, gorgeous wildflowers, and amazing panoramas from the top.

The views were a huge payoff of this hike! The lower section of the trail was a bit overgrown, I'm certain it is not a frequently used trail, there's one section where you have to go over/around a log, and many sections have loose bark debris, rocks and sticks over the trail, it is also steep but so worth it! We had a bit of an issue actually finding the TH, it is just right off the road on a corner, didn't see the sign when we passed by the first time....
