Too many kids. Maybe 10% even bring a mask. Lots of dragonflies.

Beautiful, short hike around the lake. Bring a picnic, sandals and a towel, great for little children to enjoy nature. Lots of wildflowers. Parking gets full, get there early.

Gorgeous Lake... Easy and quick loop trail for kids or anybody. Great spot to swim in clear clean water. Bring chairs and towels. Mosquitos weren’t an issue at all for us today.

Really great hike if you're looking for something quick and easy do with kids or dogs. We recommend going earlier as the parking lot is small and it tends to fill up fairly fast. Also recommend mosquito repellent! The lake was refreshing for a quick dip for both dogs and humans and the trail has dried out significantly so you'll be fine in chacos or trail runners!

Beautiful walk around a lovely lake. Very muddy on one end. Agree with comments about mosquitos, they were hungry! A perfect hike for kids and dogs.

So beautiful, wild flowers and clean lake! Muddy in spots. The mosquitos were definitely out and abundant. Only one bite among us four but lots of swatting!

Went in after work and almost no humans were there. Plenty of mosquitoes though. Not to worry. They ate the children and left me alone. Super beautiful view of Broken Top and Bachelor as the sun was setting. The swim was beyond refreshing. Overall this is the prettiest 1.7 miles you are going to find anywhere.

This trail has some of the greatest views I have seen for such a short hike. The trail is slightly muddy in spots. The mosquitos are mostly in the parking area no so much on the trail. Parking is very limited so go early.

This is usually a favorite hike. Great for kids and dogs. Unfortunately it was swarming with mosquitos today.

Perfect beautiful hike. It is literally a flat loop around the lake. Yes it was muddy at the far end but that’s to be expected. Snow melts. The wildflowers were beautiful. I have two dogs. I think they should be allowed off leash on this trail.

The trail gets a little mucky on the north side, but the views are worth it. Where your hiking shoes.

Yes, this is a beautiful gem of the Cascades and easy to access, but as of 6/26/20 the trail on the far side is really muddy. Hikers, myself included, are causing trail damage by widening the trail trying to find a dry place through the fragile wet lands. Also, if you’re right next to the lake, you’re not on the trail, it’s in the woods about 10 yards off the shore. Thanks fellow hikers for keeping this amazing place beautiful.

Cross country skied to Todd Lake from Dutchman Flats. Good snow cover on the trail— well trail is a rut in the snow. Todd Lake mostly frozen.
