Had a great time. Snow in September and view of Mt Bachelor was spectacular
Beautiful views, great for kids
Beautiful! Easy hike, close to Bend, but watch the mosquitoes!
Flat hike around lake. Gets really muddy directly across from where the hike goes in the meadows. There are small narrow footbridges in the meadows but almost everything between has an inch or so of water. My feet weren't completely drenched but they certainly weren't dry either. There were bugs but I did not get any bites that I am aware of yet. Todd lake is the first lake on cascade highway. $5 parking cash or check. Beautiful views and wildflowers.
Beautiful views, super chill and easy. Wear your waterproof hiking boots. It's muddy from the snowmelt.
Lovely spot, easy peasy access. Great for kids or picnics. Only comment is to wear chacos (or waterproof boots) as expect to get quite wet/muddy when hiking the currently swampy meadows side of the lake- but there are plenty of streams to clean your feet off before getting back to the car.
Beautiful trail but still a lot of snow over trail! Lake is still partially covered by ice / snow!
Beautiful
Very pretty blue bird kind of day spent here. For me the best views were on the way to Todd lake as we could see Broken Top and a nice meadow. It's required (and free) to check into the Nordic center at Mt. Bachelor prior to entering the trail as well as using snow shoes or cross country skies. I recommend renting them in town prior to arriving there if you don't own your own so that you don't have to return theirs before they close early.
One of my favorite places to visit. Easy hike and beautiful view of the mountain. The trail isn't super maintained in some spots but it's still easy to get around. During the summer it's nice for fishing and canoeing/kayaking.
Great for families with small children, picnics or sharing a bottle of wine.
Nice easy hike. Plenty of shade and sun during the hike. Porta-potty at the trail head. Several areas to stop and relax. And picnic tables at the begging and end of the loop so bring a lunch. Like a previous reviewer said parking is a little tricky meaning there is very little so be prepared to park along the road and hike to the trail head. Parking is $5.
Loved this, perfect for kiddos. Parking can be a little hairy, $5 day parking, too.
Still snow on the ground. Some of the tourists lack the local respect necessary. Please clean up your dog crap! My kids are young and get too excited to pay attention and they stepped in poo. My family tries to leave each place a little better than when we arrive. Let's keep central Oregon clean and green.
Nice trip
Very nice lake with great views from both ends of the lake looking back at Broken Top and Mt. Bachelor. If you want a work out make your way up to the top of the ridge at the back of the lake for a great view of Mt. Bachelor.
This was a great hike! Family friendly! Beautiful lake! Lots of streams! Great place to take a dip in the icy cold water! Love this place! We will be back!
Gorgeous around the lake with lots of snow left and brooks (wet feet)!
Nice easy walk around. Saw an eagle dive for fish the last time.
I took a ski tour around the loop. Plenty of good turns and great views. BA
Beautiful! Depending on the time of year, can be very busy! Still, worth a trip.
This is an old time favorite a very easy hike to a beautiful mountain lake the problem is because it's so easy to get too this place can be crowded in the summer! Nevertheless it's beautiful up here.
