Easy hike. Close to the river. Nice for an afternoon stroll.
Neat to learn about Takelma People’s ceremonial traditions home via the sign they had posted, but otherwise this trail is pretty lackluster. Bordered by lots of houses, lots of defunct dam structures strewn around, and graffiti. The river is pretty, but you’re only along it for a brief moment.
Nice; the falls are more viewable from the opposite side of the river. The ideal thing to do would be to visit the falls riding from Del Rio Winery.
6/20/20: I wasn’t a huge fan. I was under the assumption that most of it was by the water, but only a tiny section of it was-the rest of the trail didn’t have much to see. There were people at the rapid, so we couldn’t go down as far as we’d like to, but it was cool right there.
Fun walk with the kids. Kids brought roller blades and scooters to ride on the paved path and tennis shoes to change into on the dirt path. Found a sandy beach with a log swing. Fun climbing area by the falls. Path also goes by the skate park which is a fun detour for older kids.
Was a nice walk. Not really a hike but good for strollers and little kids.
