This is a significant run of stairs that connects William Otty Road on the bottom to Hilltop Court on the top in Happy Valley. It is more of a city walk than a hike, and you have to be interested in exercise over great scenic rewards. Go up full speed to really feel the burn. There is a lollipop loop at the top by walking along the street for a bit and back down a dirt path below the houses. There is a bench above the stairs to sit and take in the view until the huffy puffies subside. I'm often impressed by stairs simply because I can imagine it took a considerable amount of work to build them and to cart in the materials on a steep hillside. The stairs connect to Lenore street a few times as it winds up the south side of Mt Scott. You can park on Lenore at any of the eastward bends. There are healthy cul de sac bulbs at the turns. I wasn't sure what to call it, but I finally found an official PDF from Happy Valley showing various trails, and they appropriately labeled it "The Stairs."
