Wear mosquito repellant and bring your trunks! Hike requires a lot of focus on your feet (due to frequent roots) which takes away from some of the enjoyment. That said, the ho-hum hike is definitely worth it because the Tenas Lakes are awesome.

Fantastic trail. Well maintained! Huckleberries were alive, colorful and well!

From Scott Lake Campground I hiked up to Benson Lake then Tenas Lakes. I only got a couple mosquito bites. I continued on to the top of Scott Mtn and retraced my steps back to the start.

This trail is a steady up hill with some roots and rocks to step over. Enough tree cover to keep you out of the sun. Lots of huckleberries to pick along the trail. The water at Tenas lake was refreshing but not too cold in mid August. Only a couple of mosquitoes on our trip. At the parking area, walk past the gate to camp sites 12-14 to get a stunning view of the Three Sister's.
