This is a hard fairly technical trail. I ran (hiked) the first 3 miles. About 1.5 miles in are great views of the valley and Mt Hood. I did the trail in the late afternoon and saw a beautiful sunset across the valley. Bee careful to watch your time or have a head lamp.

As hard as the uphill and switchbacks are, the views are worth it.
