Steens Mountain Trails is a 3.4 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Frenchglen, Oregon that offers the chance to see wildlife and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking and is best used from July until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail.
Rough, remote, and beautiful. Alpacas, llamas and horses are an occasional site. Also, the last two Tuesdays of July, don't be surprised at the sight of a couple hundred runners.
