Starker Forest Tour is a 0.5 mile loop trail located near Philomath, Oregon and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking and mountain biking and is best used from June until November. Dogs are also able to use this trail.
Half mile educational tour with information stations about northwest forests This is a short loop hike through old growth timber and full of information. As you do the loop (go clockwise) you will pass about 9 different information stations pointing out different aspects Oregon foresty. The official guide says that this hike is 1/4 mile, but my GPS said closer to .4 miles. As you follow the trail, you will come across two sets of signposts, one numbered and one lettered, The numbered signposts are designed for adults and the lettered signposts are designed school age children. There is also a nice covered area with beautiful log benches to eat your lunch at.
